How Do You See Yourself?
As An Eagle Or A Turkey?

Do you see yourself as an eagle which can sour above the storms clouds of life or a turkey limited in its ability to fly, fearful and trapped?

If you have never given your life to Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, then in reality, you are a turkey. You have a very limited your ability to fly and are subject to the storms of this life. This is not to condemn anyone, but reality is that because of your sin nature you are already condemned.  "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God"  (John 3:17-18).  The good news is that you don't have to remain a turkey! See: "Find, Life, Purpose, and Joy".

However, if you are a Believer, then you are to be as an eagle.  "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).  The problem is that many Believers see themselves as turkeys.  Therefore, they also act as turkeys. Again, they are unable to rise above the problems they face in this life. They are grounded.  They feel worthless, hopeless, and depressed.  They are fenced in by their perception of who they are. They do not see God's purpose for them in this life. They may even see themselves on the dinner table of the enemy, Satan.  They also often go about complaining or gobbling about all their problems or the problems of other Believers.  They go about digging in the dirt of their past or the past of others.  They are stuck with the mindset that someone else must hand them food and may eat whatever is given to they where or not it is good for them or not.  They often get their feathers ruffled over the least little thing.  They live only for today and don't see God's big picture. They live in the flesh and not in the spirit.  They have a tendency to run along the ground in fear when they are faced with a major problem.

How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as an eagle or a turkey?  Look at the table below.
