The good news is that we can regain our proper identity in Christ by REPLACING the false identity which the enemy has given to us with the true identity that God gives us through Jesus.

Faith in the Word of God is what will set us free from identity theft and is our insurance against future identity theft.  Each of the two times Satan tempted Jesus with the statement, "If thou be the Son of God," Jesus answered with, "It is written." (Matthew 4:3-7). When Satan deceptively raised question about the authority that the Father had given to Jesus, Jesus again answered, "It is written," and commanded the devil to leave. (Matthew 4:8-10).
