Putting The Pieces Together
(Integrating Fractured Personalities)

With board puzzles games, you have to turn the pieces around and fit them together.  The same is true in integrating fractured personalities.  There will be various alters which must be integrated with the main core personality.

Some of the pieces may indicate broken relationships such as "lonely" in the above illustration.  These pieces may just need to be turned around and fitted to the core personality.

However, many of the pieces may be turned "upside down" with new names and negative traits such as Anger, nobody, and Shy.  Each of the issues must be address and corrected, then the piece must be turned right side up and fitted together with the core personality.  Only God can correct, heal, and flip the pieces and integrate the alters!

*** Quite often there may be evil spirits which accompany the various alters.  One must distinguish between the negative traits of the personality and the evil spirit. The spirit must be bound and removed before the alter can be integrated.

Some alters may take on a different gender from the core personality such as Jan.  Of course, this issue of sexuality must be addressed and the piece flipped over in order to fit the core personality.

An alter such as Boy may be fixed by age and must be turned over and restored as an adult.

An alter such as Sonny may be fixed by relationship (a young man to his mother).  However, such a relationship may no longer exist as in the case of the death of the mother. Again the piece needs flipped over and integrated.

Art as illustrated may be short of "artist" which may have been an means of escape.  The individual may have escaped into the world of imaginary art to escape the reality of life.  Although being an artist is not bad, but good; the piece may need to be flipped over to fit into using art for the kingdom of God.

Alters such as illustrated by Ed may be the result of idolization of heroes.  The idolization should be repented of, any negative traits rejected, and the piece turned over and restored.

An alter such as Roy (meaning "king") may act as a host or guardian alter to protect the others.  Such an alter may have both negative and positive traits.  The negative traits should be discarded while the positive ones should be kept.  This is also part of the turning the piece right side up.

One should also note that there also may be various "evil spirits" that simply pose themselves as being an alter.  As illustrated, Fear, is not an alter or a legitimate piece of the puzzle.  This kind of work must come through prayer and discernment of the Holy Spirit as well as physical observation.
