I believe that truth comes from the Word of God as the Holy Spirit reveals it to us. Furthermore, one principle in Bible study is to allow the Word to interpret itself.  We should see how a word or concept is used throughout the Scriptures.
Revival = Strong's # (02421)

Nehemiah 4:2  "And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?"

Psalm 85:6  "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?"

Psalm 138:7  "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me."

Isaiah 57:15  "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

Hosea 6:2  "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

Habakkuk 3:2  "O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy."

Psalms 71:20  "Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth."

Psalm 80:18  "So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name."

Psalm 118:17  "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD."

Psalm 119:25  "My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word."

Psalm 119:37  "Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way."

Matthew 4:4  "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Romans 8:13  "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."
